What a pleasure it was to bring a touch of Vegas glamour to The Hilton Birmingham Metropole this weekend for an amazing Charity ball for 400 guests.
You can’t beat the mix of our modern swing show, mixed with Vegas Dancing girls for a black tie ball.

This set up was amazing! Beautiful rustic tables, stunning copper table ware mixed with an amazing cocktail bar surrounded by a cushioned chill out area.
Clare’s father was a professional jazz bass player so it was an absolute pleasure to be asked to provide the music for their special day. This was clearly a very important area of the day for both the bride and groom and their families.
We had a blast. Lots of dancing and laughter, who could ask for more!

We are often booked for to play at weddings by people who have seen the band before at other events, which is fantastic and a real acknowledgement of our performances.
However for Katie and Nathan’s wedding, this is the 4th time that Katie’s family have booked The Mini Big Band for family events, which is truly amazing and a real honour and privilege for us!
A perfect summers day in the heart of Yorkshire in the most stunning venue, Bolton Abbey’s fantastic Tithe Barn. Perfect.

Sophie set up an absolutely stunning marquee for her wedding at her family home. An open marque with a secret cocktail bar and dance floor area, complete with a 10 piece band surprise!
Not only did we start the evening celebrations off in style, we also supplied our jazz trio for arrival drinks, which was a great way to settle the guests in for their amazing day.

There’s one thing us Brits are great at, and that is partying in a field!
A beautiful Sperry tent set in the Nottinghamshire countryside and blessed by the best of the British summer weather. The Sperry tent is great choice for bringing the outside and inside together, with fully clear and open sides to the tent and the rustic wooden interior covered in foliage.
Rose and Andy brought a summer fete feel to their day with an ice cream van for arrivals drinks, some nostalgic egg and spoon and sack races for the guests, hay bales and fire pits. This was a great way to get all of their guests smiling and relaxed from the very first moment.
As the sun began to set after the meal it was our turn to take to the stage. The fun continued with a Pulp Fiction inspired first dance (You Never Can Tell) which singled a full dance floor, the state of play for the rest of the evening.
A beautiful day and an amazing party.
It was a real pleasure to be involved.

An amazingly light summers evening in Newcastle at the beautiful Vermont Hotel. Abby and Jamie’s wedding was a perfect match of vintage music, with the beautiful art deco surroundings of The Vermont Hotel. This completely took their guests on a journey back in time and boy did they come with us! What a party!
Wendy’s 20th anniversary party at the stunning Bowcliffe Hall. It was an absolute pleasure to recreate Wendy’s first dance, some 20 years later to start the evening off in style.
