What a wedding this was!

We headed to the stunning Danby Castle Barn near Whitby, North Yorkshire for Hannah and Sam’s big day — and this was a crowd that absolutely knew how to party.

From the moment the evening celebrations got underway, the dance floor was packed. A brilliant atmosphere, an incredible group of guests and one of those weddings where the energy never dropped all night.

A First Dance With a Difference

Hannah and Sam chose the iconic “Never Tear Us Apart” by INXS for their first dance.

Rather than completely reinventing such a distinctive track, we came up with something a little different.

We created a bespoke version of the original recording with the famous saxophone solo removed, leaving the perfect space for our sax player to step in and perform it live.

As that unmistakable moment arrived in the song, the live sax took over — bringing an extra bit of magic to an already special first dance.

It was a brilliant way to combine the sound and feel of the original track with a unique live moment created especially for Hannah and Sam.

From there, it was straight into the party, with a packed dance floor and an incredible atmosphere right through the night.

What a party this was!

We headed to the beautiful Leicestershire countryside for Laura and Jack’s stunning wedding celebration in Lubenham — and from start to finish, the whole evening had an incredible atmosphere.

With three different live bands performing throughout the celebrations, the wedding had a brilliant mini-festival feel, with guests enjoying live music right through the evening before The Mini Big Band took to the stage.

A Very Special First Dance

Laura and Jack chose “Baby I’m Yours” by Arctic Monkeys for their first dance, which we performed live with our own Mini Big Band swing treatment.

It was a beautiful choice and a fantastic way to start the evening celebrations before inviting everyone onto the dance floor.

An English and Spanish Wedding Party

With English and Spanish family and friends celebrating together, this was one seriously lively crowd!

Once the party got underway, the dance floor stayed packed as we moved through our mix of classic swing, Rat Pack favourites and modern songs reworked in our signature big band style.

The combination of an incredible setting, three live bands and guests who were absolutely ready to party made this one of those weddings we won’t forget in a hurry.
