What a venue.
We had the pleasure of performing at Peterborough Cathedral for Rhys and Olivia’s stunning wedding celebration, and it was one of those settings that immediately makes an impression.
The scale and beauty of the cathedral gave the day a real sense of occasion, while the styling still made the celebration feel warm, personal and intimate.
Peterborough Cathedral is such a unique place for a wedding, and live music worked beautifully in the space.
The grandeur of the venue created a dramatic backdrop for the evening, while the atmosphere remained relaxed and full of energy once the celebrations got underway.
It was a brilliant setting for The Mini Big Band’s mix of swing, jazz and big band music.
Rhys and Olivia created a fantastic celebration, full of character and great little details throughout the day.
And we still have to mention the cheese table — genuinely one of the best we’ve ever seen!

…and just like that, the summer wedding season had properly started.
We had a fantastic night performing for Jess and Leon at the beautiful Shustoke Barn, and this was one of those weddings where the atmosphere was brilliant from the very beginning.
With the summer evening, stunning surroundings and a crowd that was completely up for a party, everything came together perfectly.
Shustoke Barn is a brilliant setting for live music. The rustic character of the venue gives the room loads of atmosphere, while still feeling stylish and elegant enough for a really special wedding celebration.
Our mix of swing, big band favourites and modern songs worked perfectly with the setting and, once the evening got underway, the dance floor was full of energy.
Jess and Leon’s guests were absolutely brilliant.
From the first few numbers it was clear this was going to be a lively one, and the energy carried right through the night.

What a venue. What a wedding.
It was a real pleasure to perform for Kylee and Jack at the beautiful Hawkstone Hall in Shropshire.
With a brilliant mix of UK and USA guests, it was the perfect setting to combine a classic English country-house wedding with a lively international party atmosphere.
The ballroom at Hawkstone Hall was an ideal setting for The Mini Big Band.
Its elegant surroundings worked perfectly with our vintage stage set, sharp suits and live swing and big band sound, creating a really stylish backdrop for the evening celebrations.
The evening began with Kylee and Jack’s first dance, which immediately brought everyone together and kicked off a full dance floor for the rest of the night.
From there, the atmosphere never really dropped.
A fantastic crowd, loads of smiles and a brilliant mix of family and friends from both sides of the Atlantic made this one a wedding to remember.

There’s something very special about a summer wedding in the Cotswolds, and Grace and Andrew’s beautiful celebration at Cowley Manor was a perfect example.
Living in New York, the couple chose to return to Andrew’s home country for the wedding, bringing together family and friends from both sides of the Atlantic for a brilliant UK-USA celebration.
And the Cotswolds certainly delivered.
Cowley Manor provided a stunning backdrop for the day, combining beautiful countryside with a stylish and relaxed atmosphere.
It was exactly the kind of setting that works so well with The Mini Big Band’s mix of swing, jazz and big band music — elegant enough for the surroundings, but with plenty of energy once the evening celebrations began.
Grace and Andrew’s guests were an absolute joy.
The dance floor stayed packed, the room was full of smiles and laughter, and the atmosphere never really dropped all evening.
There may also have been a fairly impressive number of espresso martinis involved — bravo to the bar team!
It was one of those weddings that simply felt happy from start to finish, and we loved being part of it.

It was an absolute pleasure to head down to Leicestershire for Isabelle and Jonny’s stunning engagement party this November. A beautiful marquee set up in the family garden provided the perfect backdrop for Isabelle’s amazing eye for decor and design.

Mandy and Joe set up this beautiful Tipi in their local village for the most perfect and relaxed wedding.
With local butchers providing the most amazing food and the local pub providing the bar this wedding had a real connection to the area and the amazing people who Mandy and Joe are lucky to have as friends.
This party went off!! So much so that I can’t really post pictures from the end of the night due to instagrams policy on bare chests (fellas….) 😂
This wedding came at the end of a busy 6 event run for us and we had such a blast. Im not sure who was entertaining who?

This September we headed to the stunning Chateau Fonscolombe near Marseille to provide the evening entertainment for Sarah and Alberts beautiful French wedding.
The couple had travelled over from America with their family to experience the special atmosphere of the French countryside. Beautiful buildings, history, wine and food made this a very special experience for all.
What a party! You guys were certainly ready to dance and celebrate. Music for all generations, dancing together on a beautiful French evening all night long.
