Here’s a few photos of the Mini Big Band getting ready to swing for Tropic Skin Cares “Glammies” awards, 2015.
we had a great time entertaining the 600+ guests but also taking part in the awards by playing short stings of music as people came up to collect their awards! which added a real touch of class to the event.
we even had to prepare a special play on for Lord Sugar. Our swinging version of Mary Poppin’s Spoonful of sugar seemed to go down a treat.
You guys were absolutely amazing! We are definitely booking you again for next year!
2014 has been great for The Mini Big Band with lots of amazing swing gigs all over the Country. Our busiest year yet. 2015 is already set to be busier and we can’t wait. So if your looking for one of the countries finest swing shows for your private, corporate or wedding event, please drop us a line and let’s make it happen.
The band on the night was amazing we have had nothing but complimentary comments from all of our guests
– from what I can remember there was plenty of people on the dance floor and I also led to believe that many people have since requested your contact details from Victoria
Not only did your performance create a wonderful atmosphere but every member of the band was a pleasure to deal with, with a special thanks to the pianist during the drinks reception
We both hope that you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did and all your needs were taken care of.
Once again, a massive thanks from both myself and Victoria.

Here’s a few pictures of the bands set up at Pimhill Barn in Shrewsbury. what a beautiful building.
We had a great night last night playing for The Queenies Christmas Ball, organised by Herbert from Herbert’s of Liverpool. The
Audience were great and it was great for us to dust of our Christmas numbers too. We also had the pleasure of backing Ray Quinn and Claire Sweeney as well as a special surprise performance by Herbert himself. What a night.
What a fantastic performance! We have never managed to keep so many people in the ballroom for so long in the twenty six years that I have been involved in the event. Everyone was blown away by your professional performance from each and every member of the band. The New York New York finale was a pleasure to behold with just about everyone present somehow linked up in a circle on the dance floor kicking their legs higher than they have been kicked in many years!
We had a great time performing for the South Yorkshire branch of the Electrical Contractors Association this weekend. Here’s a few photos from the sound check and of the beautiful ballroom, which almost seemed as though it was made for big band swing music. Please also see the great review on our testimonials page.
